LASTBIT SOFTWARE RELEASES TRAFMETER 3.40 FOR WINDOWS 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP

Take Full Control Over Your IP Traffic 

New York - LastBit Software has released version 3.40 of the TrafMeter traffic reporting and monitoring
utility. TrafMeter lets users set up an unlimited number of filters for the captured traffic, defining
the network packets that are used for tracking and reporting purposes.  

TrafMeter lets users create and use different filter rulesets for different monitoring purposes. Different
rulesets can be used for single hosts, subnets, specific group of hosts such as for all hosts in your LAN,
or for all hosts not in your LAN. TrafMeter also supports counting of custom IP packets with a flexible
filter engine by any IP protocol (ICMP,TCP,UDP,OSPF) or by any TCP/UDP port. TrafMeter provides real-time
visual presentation of traffic activity via graphic charts, with different colored lines representing
different filters. This lets webmasters and administrators 'see' the Internet connection usage of different
users. The bandwidth of the filtered packets can also be displayed with the graphical charts. TrafMeter can
also be used as a troubleshooting tool for local networks. In addition, TrafMeter allows tracking of the
network packets for the different filters, letting you analyse and comment on the monitored traffic. You
can also include MAC addresses from Ethernet headers and TOS field from IP headers in your traces. TrafMeter
can generate XML traffic reports for immediate viewing, or store the traffic counters in a database.
TrafMeter is compatible with most popular databases (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and allows you
to exchange data between them using an ADO interface.

What's New
Traffic Reports generated in XML instead of plaintext files. This allows you to create the XML reports based
on traffic counters with your custom XML style-sheets (also known as XSL files).

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
Windows 95/98/ME/NT 4.0/2000/XP. 
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or Microsoft XML parser is an advantage required for XML reports.
